Well logging plays a key role in oil industry projects and geoscience studies; it allows geoscientist to get direct access to geological formations and measure their properties. This course aims to introduce student to physical principles and applications of well logging. Student will be introduced to a variety of logging techniques and tools, their analysis techniques, and interpretation; this includes: Radioactivity tools, porosity tools, resistivity and conductivity tools, imaging tools.  Throughout the semester, student will practice well logging analysis and interpretation with the help of of industry software packages.
